Our Rescues
We cannot wait to introduce you to all of our angel rescues! Until then, get to know these three lovelies.

We sprung this handsome gentleman off of death row a year ago. Now, Old Man Abe is ten years young, frisky, and finally free of the heartworms that plagued his body.
Like Abraham was the father of multitudes, our Old Man Abe is the father and first FoxGarden rescue. He will be the first of a multitude of rescues.

Rodney
Rodney is one special duck! As a rouen duckling, Rodney was viciously shot at point-blank range and is now partially blind and deaf.
We love this opinionated and sassy duck, though, and he is totally living his best life now!

Jelly Bean
This little beauty was found off a main thoroughfare, alone and hungry and frightened.
She has since been rehabilitated and rehomed. Her new mom is an animal lover and horse girl. A lovely three-legged cat has taken Jelly Bean under his wing, and Jelly Bean is thriving in her new furrever home.

Lil' Dove Guthrie
This little guy spent many days at FoxGarden, eating and sleeping while gaining strength.

Rocky
Another sweetheart pulled from a shelter before being euthanized, 12-year-old Rocky is a gentle soul whose legs refuse to cooperate. Slowly gaining strength, he can now stand up briefly on his own to reposition himself in his wagon.

Porter
As the Sheriff, the opinionated Porter, aka "Big P" or "Meatloaf," will tell the young ones to "get off his lawn!"...while securely clutching his security blanket.

Hazel
Alano Espaniol Hazel has become the informal guardian and mother to all of the other animals.

Augustine
FoxGarden harbored this green heron with a injured leg while he became proficient in utilizing his bad leg. He has since been released.

Hootie
If Karen were a 8-year-old male Pekingese, that Karen would be Hootie. He's a vociferous tattletale who is not ashamed to point out your failures.

Carmine
Carmine, pulled cold and wet from the water, stayed at FoxGarden for a few weeks whilst gaining strength and weight. Now, he graces our security cameras with a weekly cameo or so.

Thanksgiving Goose
This snow goose crash landed in a Kemah marina and was very lethargic. She lasted about 24 hours, but not before sharing Avian Flu with her rescuer.

Fat Whit
This pint-sized, lone survivor of a coyote attack has since grown into the broody mother hen to any egg, stone, or ball she can stuff under her girthy bantam bottom. Legend has it she once tried to incubate an avocado.

Oscar
Aloof and feral, Oscar has slowly permitted himself to be petted. (He's in for a surprise when the Spay&Nueter truck comes around though...)

Meyer
Meyer, another semi-feral, also cautiously calls FoxGarden her home base. She remains standoffish, but we're winning her over.

Diamonds
This cross-beaked lovely destined for culling at a local farm store lost her uphill battle, but was loved for each and day of her short life. Diamonds are forever, after all.

Toot
Acquired on Mardi Gras Tuesday, this gender-fluid zombie chicken doesn't know whether to cluck or crow sometimes.

Magpie Ducks
These are the first hatched eggs from our original batch of Magpie ducks
